Save the date, because the Action Awards are back! As you may know, the Athlete Ally Action Awards is our annual awards celebration to honor LGBTQI+ athletes, allies, and organizations that are making a difference in LGBTQI+ inclusion and allyship on and off the field.
This year’s event will be held from 6-10pm on Thursday, October 23rd at Tribeca360 in New York City. Oh, and did we mention that we are ready to give you a sneak-peak into this year’s honorees? Drum roll please… We are thrilled to announce that we are honoring the reigning WNBA Champions, The New York Liberty, for their commitment to inclusive fan culture and LGBTQIA+ rights on and off the court. We’re also honoring our inspiring Ohio State University College Chapter – proof that young leaders can spark systemic change.
Tickets are officially on sale, and we hope you’ll consider grabbing yours early to ensure you’ll be able to join us!
If you haven’t had the opportunity to attend an Action Awards in the past, this is an event like no other. Expect to meet some of your favorite athletes, learn about the amazing brands/leagues that are supporting Athlete Ally, and meet other people like yourself who are committed to fighting for LGBTQ+ rights on and off the field.
