Khalen Saunders To Be Honored At 2025 Action Awards
Athlete Ally is thrilled to announce that Khalen Saunders (NFL Defensive Tackle for the New Orleans Saints and President of the Original Element Foundation President) will be honored at our 2025 Action Awards. Happening annually, the Action Awards are an evening where we celebrate efforts to foster a future of sport that is inclusive and safe for all people. In addition to Khalen, we are honoring the WNBA reigning champions, the NY Liberty for their LGBTQIA+ inclusive fan culture and the Ohio State University Athlete Ally Campus Chapter for their leadership on campus.
Khalen is a staunch advocate for LGBTQ+ equality on and off the field. In July 2025 – through his Original Element Foundation – Khalen organized a youth football camp for LGBTQ+ youth. Having witnessed toxic climates in NFL locker rooms, he wanted to do his part in transforming his sport’s culture for good.
