British Race Walker Tom Bosworth Joins as Newest Ambassador
We are proud to announce that British race walker Tom Bosworth has joined Athlete Ally as our newest Pro Ambassador.
A native of Kent, England, Tom has quickly become one of the top race walkers in the world. Training under coach Andi Drake at the National Race Walking Centre at Leeds Beckett University, Tom holds the British race walk record for both the 10km and 5km events. He is currently ranked 1stoverall in the UK for the 20km race, and his personal best time stands 3rd on the British All-Time list for the event.
“In life I’ve learned you can either sit by and watch others try to make a difference, or you can stand alongside those and make a difference with them, for you are always stronger together,” Bosworth said. “That’s why I am so honored to be standing as an Ambassador.”
Tom joins other Athlete Ally athletics Ambassadors, including American middle distance runner Nick Symmonds and Irish middle distance runner Ciarán Ó Lionáird, to further equality and acceptance within the sport of athletics and beyond.
