Athlete Ally Responds to Josh Hader’s Racist and Homophobic Tweets
Athlete Ally today responded to the news that Brewers All-Star Josh Hader has a history of racist and homophobic tweets. Hader later apologized for the tweets.
“Josh’s apology is the first step in what must be a continued commitment to becoming educated and aware of the challenges facing the LGBTQ community today. We thank him for making the apology, and commend the MLB and the Brewers’ swift response and condemnation of his words. We hope his trainings truly shed light on the challenges and discrimination facing the LGBTQ community today, and he understands the impact he can have as a successful athlete in speaking out positively on LGBTQ issues.”
