Athlete Ally Is Going to the MLB All-Star Game

We’re excited to announce that Athlete Ally will be in Minneapolis from July 11 to July 15, participating in Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game FanFest at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

FanFest is Major League Baseball’s official celebration of baseball’s past, present, and future, and is part of the All Star Game festivities that will be bringing baseball fans from all over the country to the Twin Cities.  Athlete Ally is participating in FanFest as part of our continuing work building allyship within the baseball community.

At our booth, visitors will be able to see pieces from the “Allyship” exhibit currently on display at the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center.  The exhibit celebrates the intersection of sports and society by highlighting major moments in the ongoing fight for racial, gender, and LGBT equality in sports and beyond.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to sign our Athlete Ally pledge and receive either an official wristband or lapel pin to visibly display their own commitment to allyship.  Executive Director Hudson Taylor, as well as other Athlete Ally representatives, will be on hand to discuss our ongoing work in promoting inclusion and acceptance.

Be sure to check our website and Facebook and Twitter pages in the coming days, as we will be regularly updating with news and content from FanFest.

If you are attending FanFest, be sure to visit our booth.  We will be located between the Steal A Base and Fox Sports North attractions.
