Athlete Ally and Fallon Fox Join LGBT Health Forum
Wednesday Athlete Ally is co-sponsoring an important event for transgender health, George Washington University’s 2015 LGBT Health Forum. The Forum pulls together experts in the field to discuss progress and future actions to be made to advance the health and well-being of transgender people.
Athlete Ally’s Director of Policy, Ashland Johnson, will be on hand at the event to introduce MMA fighter Fallon Fox, who is openly transgender. Fox is also the subject of the upcoming documentary “Game Face.”
Other speakers include: Mara Keisling, Executive Director of the National Center for Transgender Equality; , Ilan Meyer, Senior Scholar for Public Policy at the Williams Institute for Sexual Orientation Law and Public Policy at UCLA’s School of Law; Naseema Shafi, Deputy Executive Director, Whitman Walker Health; and Ruby Corado, Executive Director, Casa Ruby LGBT Youth Shelter.
