Lendale Johnson

Becoming the first openly gay male Black professional tennis player has dynamic responsibilities to the LGBTQ community. I knew I was going to have to work twice as hard to get where I wanted to be, especially being Black and gay. Addressing my double minority publicly will help other Black LGBTQ athletes, and for that I am so honored to pioneer the way.
